We are a true Chicagoland firm serving mostly Chicago-area businesses. But today even a hometown business can have 'worldly' needs.

And many of our business and personal clients tap into our ability to provide accounting expertise to virtually any global location.
In fact, as a member of CPA Associates International, Inc., an association of approximately 150 independent accounting firms all over the world, we access credible sister firms almost anywhere on your behalf.
Similarly, when companies outside our region are looking to expand or do business in Illinois, we are the CPA Associates International connection in Chicago and elsewhere in the state.
This affiliation also connects us to firms with industry expertise in areas outside our normal focus. And it provides us with internal management and training. It’s truly a collaboration of the sharpest minds in the accounting profession.
Our firm is a member of the Illinois CPA Society. KOS is also a member of PCPS, the AICPA Alliance for CPA firms. Exclusive to CPA firms working with privately-held 
companies, the AICPA provides practical guidance and quick access to critical information on issues affecting their quality, professionalism, and profitability.
Over the Years
It was 1928 when Sam Kessler’s father, Nathan C. Kessler, began his public accounting practice. Since then, the strength and reputation of the firm has steadily grown.
Today, KOS comprises more than 40 accomplished employees. Our team includes seven active principals, three semi-retired principals, six directors/managers, and more than a dozen professional staff. Several of our professionals have law degrees in addition to CPA certificates.
