Culture
Fairness, commitment, integrity—those are just a few of the firm service standards we work and live by.
As a firm, our purpose is to serve our clients. But we understand that we all wear many different hats outside of work—that of a spouse, parent, child, friend, volunteer.
KOS respects your outside commitments and encourages time devoted to personal activities and interests. When your needs as a person are respected, we believe you feel more valued, and can more successfully incorporate that sense of value into your work.
Fun time isn’t only for your hours away from the office. At KOS, we’re always up to something interesting to make our work environment pleasant and foster our family-like atmosphere.
Bowling, happy hours, sports, community involvement, and a whole slew of other activities create a fun work environment.
Early in the year, our office events include things like handing out candy on Valentine’s Day and having a tailgate party during Super Bowl.
Vampires, ghosts, super heroes—you’ll see them parading in our hallways on Halloween. Gift certificates are awarded for best costume. During lunch we “trick or treat” throughout the office—it’s fun to act like kids once in a while!
Festive decorations, a gift swap, and a catered luncheon during the holidays cap off the year. We do like to eat well around here!
During prime time—the January through April tax season—the firm provides breakfast and lunch on Saturdays.
After prime time, we host a party for employees and their significant others. We’ve had a Match the Baby Picture contest with prizes. Even our clients got involved! Also that year, we held a dinner at Sox Park followed by a game. The year before, a client from Las Vegas flew in to entertain us with a private concert.
In addition to all this fun, KOS offers a beautiful and modern workplace, state-of-the art equipment and good opportunities for career advancement — it’s the least we can do for our team.
